This is a sketchbook that I made for Sketchbook project at Brooklyn Art Library.

My story about the time of when I traveled NY with my friends as tourist in 2017, moved to NY in 2018, then had tough time, then breakthrough.

Many struggles, stresses, anxieties, also had a hard and sad experience. But I push myself hard to make everything ok, I always told myself “I have to do that, no time for whining“

Voice of my heart

My heart was screaming, My heart was crying, but I kept ignoring it.

In Darkness / Hug

One day, I felt that my heart was about to break, Finally I stopped, and started listening my heart. My heart needed a break.

I started doing nothing, but rested, walked, saw many arts and drew.

Music and loneliness

and listened to music.

Songs

Songs brought me back memories and sad feeling. But rumination was a process to accept the experience and myself, and process to move on.

Spring has come

After spending some time to heal myself, winter was over, and spring came.

Magnolia

My heart gradually got back its energy. It was like flower started blooming in spring after long winter!

I ♡ NY

I did not know if I liked NY before, But now I think, I like NY.
